Will Smith Says The Best Is Yet To Come
June 20, 2008
Will Smith, who has made a name for himself with lead roles in high-grossing action and sci-fi hits like Men In Black and Independence Day, is reluctant to star in movies that aren’t big-budget blockbusters - because he’s not sure if such projects would succeed in the box office.
And he admits he is afraid to stray from his trademark genre in favor of more dramatic films. He says:
”I fear that if I don’t do that ‘Will Smith’ thing, then it won’t be successful.”
But the 39-year-old is confident his best work on the big screen is yet to come adding:
”I think the next four or five years are going to be my innovative prime.”
Will is currently filming Seven Pounds with Rosario Dawson and Woody Harrelson which is an emotional story of a man who will change the lives of seven strangers and he is rumored to be in The Trial of the Chicago 7 directed by Steven Spielberg co-starring with Kevin Spacey, Sacha Baron Cohen and Jeff Daniels.
