Who Knew? Pink Slapped With Lawsuit
December 4, 2007
Pop rocker Pink has been hit with a copyright infringement lawsuit by musician Kyle Jones aka Scratch, who claims he has not been paid for work he did on her most popular 2001 album, Missundazstood. Jones claims he worked with Pink on the song Respect, but failed to receive payment for his contributions.
However, he admits a final fee had not been agreed on and was simply discussed with Pink. Jones claims the song also featured on Pink’s DVD release, “Live in Europe,” and is seeking $717,600 in damages. He names Pink, her company Pinks Stuff, Inc. and her record label, Zomba in the lawsuit.
Missundazstood is Pink’s most successful album to date, selling 12 million copies worldwide - 5.3 million of which was in the U.S. alone.
