Menopause is a terrible thing, and so is bad singing.

  3. Donny Boy Says:

It too bad what has happen to her,or what she did to her self. She not the same good luck. This was pretty bad.

  4. Ellen Says:

OMG…Poor Whitney has definately lost her beautiful voice! I hope the drugs & that asshat Bobby Brown were worth it. She sounded like Kermit the Frog!

  5. Marsha Says:

Negativity is a hell of a thing…. at least she makes an effort to put herself back together… and in my opinion the performance was awesome… ‘GET A LIFE’ all of y’all with your negative comments and stop putting down others who try to make something of themselves. Retribution is BITCH be careful what you speak about others, one might be saying something worse about you. Hope you will be able to handle it.

  6. Awesome Faith Says:

God has give us all an inner strength. When you need yours and find it
you will understand that the Holy Spirit was with Whitney during that
performance. Give all praise to God. There was no more perfect stage
to testify the greatness of God as she did at the AMA’s.

  7. toya Says:

She was beautiful, and there is nothing more
beautiful than a woman that ages gracefully and so does a singer’s voice. I
I loved her performance because it was so heart-wrenching and you can
hear her testify in the lyrics, her body movement,.. that was raw
emotion. I will take raw emotion over botox and lip synching anyday.
    Whitney worked it out !!!

  8. eric Says:

Whitney has lost her voice! I feel sorry for her if she hits the road and has to sing
I will always love you, again……

  9. Jason Says:

I think people just love to hate on Whitney that performance was a stellar performance and if you follow her live performances you would know that. Her voice is great, do it make anybody feel better to say that she has lost her voice, especially when it just not true….move on people she has

  10. Mark Says:

I was hoping for the old voice, perhaps time for us to move on. I congratulate her in getting her life back together however she chose to be so fantastically self-indulgent that she cannot blame anybody but herself (as she likely knows). Keep improving, keep working and who knows?

  11. Charlie Says:

Whitney has lost her voice. That performance was terrible. All she did was talk and try to ham it up to the audience. She also has a big belly. Hopefully she is clean and sober, but I think she still has that stinky “I’m better than you” diva mentality. All the crack messed up her vocal chords, it just was not good at all. Just telling the truth.

  12. Francie Says:

What a terrible Waste of beautiful talent!

  13. Sheryl Says:

Wow - Thought Whitney’s performance was refreshing after all the
lip syncing that went on last night -

  14. Whitney still loves herself Says:

Wow! Really uncomfortabele to watch. . . aaaawkward! Typical of Whitney to sing a song about how great she is to have overcome her problems. May be off crack but obviously still living a very self-indulgent lifestyle (evidenced by the beer belly). The drummed-up, fake emotion was embarassing. Oh yah, the planned wait for applause near the end was a nice touch also, I can just picture the rehearsal . . . “if I pause right here guys, they’ll all applaude and I can knowingly nod and congratulate myself, only then will I sing the last two lines”. The voice as we knew it is no longer there, sad to see someone who had everything going for her throw it all away, you can’t unring a bell folks, the damage is done.

  15. steve Says:

I kept waiting for ashton to come out or she was gonna do a before and after simulation

  16. pam Says:

Great performance! Sooo…refreshing to hear some real singing, everyone else lip-sync,and fell. Luv u Whitney

  17. pam Says:

No one in this era can out sing Whitney, not even Mariah. Just keepin’ it real

  18. David H Says:

Marsha Marsha Marsha (yes, the Brady Tools),

    Ms. Houston’s performance was abismal.

Her voice was not in performance condition.

Her stage presentation was poor, almost unrehearsed. Another word for winging it.

    The song was poor.

The audience was polite but am sure most were wincing.

    She did look beautiful.

I did not even consider what she did as mediocre. It was abismal.

So, what part of this is not true?

  19. mostimportantopinion Says:

I think she did the best she could do… for now. I believe her voice will heal and she will do better. I can almost guarantee it. As far as Mariah..? I have heard her sing live and I wonder if she was smoking the same thing Whitney was because her voice sounds dried up.. Breathy and uncontrollable in the low AND high range, yet I don’t hear many people complaining… what is her excuse or reason for poor vocals?
