Walmart Employee Slaps 2-Year-Old Child
September 3, 2009
A 61-year-old man slap a child in a Georgia Walmart because he was annoyed.
Roger Stephens was annoyed with a crying 2-year-old girl at a Walmart and after warning the mom allegedly saying:
“If you don’t shut the baby up, I will shut her up for you.”
He then slapped the child a reported 4 times.
A police report the quotes Stephens as saying afterward:
“See, I told you I would shut her up.”
The incident was not caught on the stores surveillance video.
Stephens was arrested on Monday and charged with first-degree cruelty to children. He also reportedly apologized to the mother for striking the girl.
I don’t know about you, but if some strange man came up and slapped one of my kids once, let alone four times, I would go psycho on his ass….

OMG….Not only would I go psycho on this jerk, the cops would have had to pull me off him before I knocked his lights out !!!!!

I would have went to the sportting goods section got a Alumni bat and can back and bet his as- and the would have had to hold me down and i’ve would have been in the court system also
.

he would not have gotten close to slap my child, after he said he would I would have dropped him like a used condom
September 3rd, 2009 at 7:21 pm
Ohhh no. I don’t even think he would have gotten to the 2nd wack.
If someone even reached for my daughter I’d be on them.

What the heck was the mother doing…She should go to jail for failure
to keep her child safe. No jury on this earth would have convicted her
for going upside his head.

OMG Seriously I would have been arrested myself for beating the CRAP out of that old man. I think that if the woman’s husband was there the man would never even had thought to approach the woman and her screaming child. The BALLS of this man….I have a 2 year old and you know what…KIDS ARE KIDS!!!! I don’t smack my own child in the face, I hope he gets more then just a smack on the hand for what he did.

That amn would not have been able to walk away if that was my kid, that man would not be able to walk way, I would knee him or kick him, hard, he will bent but not walk for a minute afew secounds, thing hit him with what ever is hard and near me. Yelling myself all this time. They would have to drag me off, and then I still would have part of him in my teeth and an eye ball under my finger nail. I am 66 year old and 5 kids I went though one thing once, that my reflects takes over. I get powers I didn’t know I had. Thank You:Mary

That man looks mean, I would love to have one of those eye balls plucked out by me. That mother stood and yelled as she watched. I don’t know how she done it. The kid may have beed sick, ear ache, or spoiled to death, kids are sweet ether way, I love kids, We raised 5 and helped raised part of 15 grandchildren and help give some kids a home over the years. That child may wanted a toy, I never went to many stores and came out with no toy or treat. If we had money the kids came first on junk or food. Yes spoiled kids, But some bratts we can be proud of today as they raise their families. I have been though alot, even near this. Thank You: Mary

He is lucky to still be breathing! If I would have seen that I would be in jail right now for murder. Whether it was my kid or not! What was the mom thinking? Did she even try to protect her child?

More proof that we need to go back to Texas Ranger justice and hang
a sociopath like this on the spot. He shouldn’t have made it out of
Wal-Mart alive… the DO carry rope you know.

This mother literally had to be in shock not open up a can of whoop
___ on this individual. I would not be responsible for my actions but
they would have started somewhere in the genital region to ensure that
was unable to move while I stompped the heck out of him in defense of
my helpless child. Four times yeah right!!! No lawsuit is worth it.
He would be punished and then I would call her father… Lord only help
him then
September 5th, 2009 at 4:31 pm
I purposedly would not have shut my child up and dare him to touch him/her. If he called me on it, I would be like that other person – go to the sports dept., find the largest aluminum bat and come back and beat the hell out of him. I hope this woman files a lawsuit (if this is an employee of Walmart). Only an asshole would chastise and especially hit someone else’s child whom they do not know.

This guy is NOT a Walmart employee. He’s an obvious idiot who shouldn’t be any where near children
September 7th, 2009 at 1:05 pm
If that had been my child, I would have been carried off to jail. I would have taken him down just for threatening my child, and then someone would have to peel me off of him.
September 7th, 2009 at 1:10 pm
BTW, if this was a Walmart employee, I hope that child never has to work a day in her life, if she doesn’t want to, after the settlement she and her family should get.

There is obviously something wrong with this man and he needs some help. He looks deranged. I woujld like to know what he was thinking at the time. A glimpse into the mind of a psyco!!

I am almost certain this poor women was in shock and disbelief of what was going on. Not to mention the regret she feels for her child. If someone would of said that to me, I am sure I would tell them to relex and then try to calm my child (which is not always easy to do). I would of most likely walk into another isle to avoid any more contact with a crack pot like that. I could only hope he gets the book thrown at him for these horrible actions. It is quite obvious this Richard Stephens has a disease and needs to seek help. After jail time of course.

That man got what was coming from the police. No one should
be touching any child. Right now I’m more concerned with the
mom – I hope you’ve learned your lesson. Next time when
you have a screaming child or any behavior problem in any
public places what would you do? A mature mom would take a
child home for a lesson taught and hopefully your child would
not scream again in fear of going home again.
Watching “Super Nanny” is a good show.

I love when people pull these laws out of their asses when
they think someone should go to jail. I do agree that she
should’ve done something, but you should probably do your homework
before you let crap fall out of your mouth.

He was wrong to hit the child. He should have slapped the mother.
Too many parents let their child scream and carry on in restaurants,
coffee shops and stores. The parents seem to turn a deaf ear to
their child and if they’re rude enough to allow their child to
interrupt others, then someone should be rude right back. Parents let
their toddlers get away with anything and everything and when that
child is 13 and 14, and threatening and terrorizing those same parents,
the idiots go on Dr. Phil saying, “I can’t control my kids”. Here’s a
tip!! START CONTROLLING THEM, AND TEACHING THEM WHEN THEY’RE YOUNG!!
