W Magazine is celebrating their 40th anniversary. As part of the big milestone they are planning a year long celebration of the brand’s rich history and 40-year legacy in storytelling through fashion photography by some of the industry’s best photographers including, Steven Klein, Mert Atlas and Marcus Piggott, and Steven Meisel, among others.

Check out the four covers to W’s oversized November anniversary issue, which will hit national newsstands on October 23rd.  Keira Knightley, Scarlett Johansson, Mia Wasikowska and Rooney Mara are the four young Hollywood actresses who were transformed into an iconic look from the past four decades for each of the covers.
