Transgender actress Holly Woodlawn has died at the age of 69 after battling cancer. Holly began her career as a transgender icon as one of Andy Warhol’s drag queen superstars and quickly gained attention from filmmakers. She landed roles in several Indie films like Twin Falls Idaho and Milwaukee, Minnesota. Holly was so inspirational that musician Lou Reed wrote a song about Holly called Walk on the Wild Side.
