Bruce Hyde, one of the original cast members of the Star Trek crew, has died at the age of 74 after battling throat cancer. Bruce played Lt. Kevin Riley in just two episodes and went on to be an educator at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. Although Bruce’s time on Star Trek was short lived, he is well remembered for his role and had said he was honored to have his little toe in pop culture history.
