Venus Williams Tennis Outfit Makes Big ‘Sporty Sexy’ Fashion Statement

Venus Williams Red Tennis Dress

Venus Williams won 6-4, 6-3 on Thursday night at the Sony Ericsson Open in Key Biscayne, but nobody seemed to care much about that.  The focus was on the outfit she wore during the opening match.

Venus sported a red, spaghetti-strapped corset trimmed with a flounce in what some are calling part can-can, part Valentine’s Day.

The outfit made such a statement that first eight questions at the post-match press conference were all about the dress.

She explained:

“The motif is really about sporty sexy, and kind of that whole attitude of bringing that to my game.  I usually don’t wear red. This is kind of new for me.”

Venus also added she is planning on wearing the dress for her next match as well.

Unfortunately Venus didn’t bring her game with her for the finals! Kim sure did! Maybe next time! But dump the red corset! It’s absolutely horrible!
