Trace Adkins Tour Bus Involved In Fatal Crash

Country singer Trace Adkins’ tour bus was involved in a deadly accident yesterday in Caddo Parrish, Louisiana when a pickup truck crossed the center line and crashed head-on into the tour bus leaving two people dead.

The bus was carrying Trace Adkins band members . Both men in the truck were killed on impact.  None of Adkins’ band members received serious injuries, although five of them were taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries and observation.

Adkins, who was not on the bus and was already at the venue when he heard the news, went to the scene in a van where he picked up the uninjured band members and then headed straight over to the hospital to check on the others.

Of the accident Adkins said:

“This is a real tragedy.  Two people have been killed and I don’t even know their names. So out of respect for their families, I prefer not to comment too much at this time.”

Adkins, who is currently on tour with country star Martina McBride, took the stage last night with an acoustic set, but will not perform at tonight’s scheduled show in Pensacola, Florida.   Martina McBride and Sarah Buxton will still go on as scheduled.
