Tina Fey Retires From Playing Sarah Palin On SNL
November 5, 2008

Now that the election is over and Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s 15 minutes of fame are for the most part over with, Tina Fey has announced that she is officially retiring from impersonating Palin on Saturday Night Live.
The Emmy-winning star of NBC’s 30 Rock tells Entertainment Weekly:
“I have to retire just because I have to do my day job.”
Although she says SNL’s Kristen Wiig should take over the part adding:
“I think Wiig would do a really good job.”
Please NO! There’s already WAY too much of Wiig on that show!
