The Fockers Will Have 5 Year Old Twins In ‘Little Fockers’

Director Paul Weitz has revealed that Greg ‘Gaylord’ Focker, Ben Stiller’s character from Meet The Focker’s, will have five-year-old twins in the latest instalment of the comedy ‘Little Fockers.’

Weitz says a lot of time has passed between ‘Meet The Fockers,’ and the latest one and says the plot centers around how Ben’s character and his wife Pamela, played by Teri Polo, cope with their brood.

He revealed:

“At the end of the last one they were getting married, and in this one they have a couple of five year olds. They have five-year-old twins. This was an opportunity to work with a bunch of actors who I think are fantastic; it was too good of an opportunity to pass up.”

In explaining more about the plot, Weitz confirmed that Wilson and De Niro will also return to their roles:

“It’s Ben Stiller, Bob De Niro, Owen Wilson. They’ve all moved on with their lives and at the beginning of the movie, Greg and Kevin — Ben and Owen’s characters — are in a good place. Ben has earned Jack’s respect, and it’s about no matter how you’ve moved ahead in your life, there’s still anxiety and insecurity around the corner for you.”

Last week they announced the comedy would will be released on July 30 2010, but the filmmaker admits he had no idea it was to come out so soon adding:

“That’s news to me. good to know… no one had told me, but they can release it whenever they want… I don’t know when it would be in theaters.”
