TCM’s 31 Days Of Oscar Festival

February 2, 2010

Award season is all the buzz in Hollywood right now which means glitz, glamour, gowns…and celebrating the year’s great films, of course!

Turner Classic Movies (TCM) is hosting their annual 31 DAYS OF OSCAR festival which started yesterday and will run through the end of February.  It features 360 Academy Award-nominated and winning movies, presented uncut and commercial-free.

This months schedule is designed so that each movie is linked to the next movie in the lineup through a shared actor or actress and is inspired by the ever-popular Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon game.   TCM will start with Only When I Laugh (1981) starring Kevin Bacon and James Coco then the next film will be The Man of La Mancha (1972) with Coco and Harry Andrews followed by Andrews in Days at Peking (1963) and so on continue linking actors and actresses ending with Bacon in Diner (1982).

These classic films are sure to get you in the mood for the big event, The Academy Awards, on March 7, 2010.

You can even enter for a chance to win a 31 Days of Oscar Viewing Party Kit filled with popcorn, candy, a martini shaker, coasters and more!  Bonus!
