His self-titled, post-”Idol” album, released in December, debuted at No. 2 on the charts. While it has sold a respectable 640,000 copies, it has slid significantly to a dismal rank: 136 this week. Discs by previous winners Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Fantasia and Ruban Studdard performed a lot better in the weeks after they were issued. And finalist Chris Daughtry is near the top of the charts with the self-titled debut of his band Daughtry — they have sold over 1 million records. Source
What happened?? He was doing so well around Idol time. The “Soul Patrol” better step it up! It seems in most cases the runner up ends up doing better than the actual winner, besided the obvious Underwood and Clarkson.

My Taylor isnt doing so well. I thought for sure he would be big by now…..I’m thinking Chris should of won

I doesnt help that radio stations are just not playing him.
I am a huge Taylor fan, but I’d have to admit….I think his debut CD fell short of my expectations. It isnt bad…but doesnt have the charisma he brought to the Idol stage so many times.
Not sure who is to blame for that? Taylor? producers? record label??

I don’t think he did well on american idol… and now his career SUCKS. I didn’t even know he had a CD out! There’s no news on him… My aunt met him and he’s a total jerk…

I dont even hear Taylor Hicks on the radio he’s not a good singer Cat Mcphee should have won. I think Idol is racism.They always look over the good singers such as BO,Chris, Elliott< Jen Hudson ect. Lately idol is putting all these Gay guys in the top 24. What in the world is that that sing Jailhouse rock jean were tighter than Beyonce’ jeans. Simon, Paula, and especially Randy need to stop playing games. They sit up on their but and let some really great singers pass by. If they keep on the rating are going to go down on the american idol.
