Steven Spielberg Inside Sunday’s Parade Magazine
December 22, 2011
Steven Spielberg is interviewed in Sunday’s special holiday issue of Parade Magazine. The famous director chats with the mag about everything from going to the movies, his family and the problem with theater popcorn!
Check out some highlights below:
On balancing his two greatest loves: family and making movies: “Balancing the two is life’s biggest challenge, though the family always comes out the winner.”
On working on so many projects at once: “You know something, it’s no different than raising seven children and going into all of their rooms and telling each of them, every night, individual stories. Because in my family, one story does not fit all. Every one of my kids demanded a different story in a different world. That was my training.”
On if he gets popcorn when he goes to the movies: “No, because I put on too much weight! What I usually do is get a huge diet drink and nachos. You might think cheese-smothered nachos would put on more weight than popcorn, but for some reason they don¹t. Popcorn is the bane of my existence.”
He once said he was born a nervous wreck; On if he’s still that way: “Yes. As I get older, I get wiser, but I’m no calmer.”
