Sorry, But Nobody Wants Parenting Advice From Lynne Spears

December 19, 2007

So remember hearing about the parenting book that Britney’s mom Lynne Spears has been busy writing?  Umm, Yeah….that has been delayed indefinitely following the news of her 16 year old daughter Jamie Lynn Spears pregnancy.  I don’t think she’ll be in the running for Mother of the Year anytime soon.

Lynne Spears’ plans to be an author are on hold now that she is focusing on becoming a grandmother
again.

Christian publisher Thomas Nelson Inc., which was reportedly planning to release a parenting-themed book by her in 2008, announced Tuesday that the book’s publication is being temporarily shelved.

The book is delayed indefinitely. It’s delayed, not cancelled,” said a spokeswoman for Nashville-based Thomas Nelson. “We are standing behind Lynn at this time and understand that she needs time with her family – we support that.”

A source tells Us that Lynne’s book was to focus in part on “the challenges of raising two daughters in show business.”

She’s the last person I would want to read a parenting book from. Whoever prints it would print anything. No standards whatsoever.

This woman is the last person I would class as a “good mother”. The fact that she’s even writing a book on this topic is a joke.
