SNL Blagojevich Spoof

Last night’s Saturday Night Live (December 13, 200) jokes were focused on Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, who became a national joke this week with his arrest by federal agents on corruption charges.

The opening of the show turned him into a foul-mouthed con man with a quasi-Chicago accent, unfortunately NBC hasn’t released the video for that one, but during the Weekend Update with Amy Poehler and Seth Meyer (above) they took some stabs at Blagojevich like:

“You should resign,” Meyers advised Blago. “Even Illinois politicians are saying you should resign, and when Illinois politicians think you’re too corrupt, you’re too corrupt. That’s like Amy Winehouse telling you to go to rehab. Really.”

Of Blagojevich’s hair, Poehler cracked:

“It looks like you’re wearing a toupee that’s also wearing a toupee.”
