Singer-Actor Andy Hallett Has Died At The Age Of 33

Actor and singer Andy Hallett, best known for his recurring role as Lorne on the hit TV show Angel, has passed away at the age of 33.
Hallet died from heart failure following a five-year battle against heart disease.
He kick started his career as a singer-songwriter after he was was dragged on stage at a concert to sing with Patti LaBelle.
Hallett was spotted at a Los Angeles nightclub by Joss Whedon, Buffy The Vampire Slayer creator, who then created the demon character Lorne in the show’s spin-off Angel specially for him.
Hallett appeared in 76 episodes before the Angel series ended in 2004. He spent his post-Angel years working on his music career, playing shows around the country.
Hallett died on Sunday March 29, 2009 at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, with his father Dave Hallett by his side.
