Simon Cowell Gives His Pick For Season 7’s American Idol Winner

With the finale only a week away and only three contestants left, the competition is tougher than ever.  They are sooo close!  Simon reveals who he’s rooring for.

On last nights show the final three, David Cook, David Archuleta, and Syesha Mercado sang three songs each.  The judges picked a song, then the singers got to choose one and last the producers choos one.

Simon chose ‘The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’ for David Cook.  Simon said :

“I love that song! David Cook didn’t even know what it was.”  But Simon was definitely pleased.  He was seen clapping after the performance and said, “Round 1 goes to Cook and Cowell“

 Blender recently spoke to Simon and asked him who he thinks deserves to win this season? He said:

 ”Probably David Cook, I think he’s done more to deserve it over the eleven weeks. He’s taken more risks, he’s done things with certain songs that have been more interesting. If I’m gonna base it on who has done the best performances over the live shows, David Cook deserves to win.”

So there you have it, incase you care Simon is rooting for David Cook.  We’ll find out tonight if he makes it to next weeks finale!
