Shaq’s Attack On Kobe Leads To The Loss Of His Special Deputy Badge
June 25, 2008
After a wild night out at a NYC club where Shaquille O’Neal performed a freestyle rap verbally assulting his arch-enemy Kobe Bryant,(see above video) the joke is now on him.
Shaq is now being told to turn in his sheriff’s badge for using vulgar language during the unnecessary rap.
During the freestyle attack, Shaq blamed his former teammate for ruining his marriage and imploring him to “Tell me how my ass tastes” all while spending several verses shredding Kobe apart for losing in the NBA playoffs. Shaq also drops the line, “I’m a horse, Kobe ratted me out, that’s why I’m getting divorced.”
O’Neal has since apologized for his rap attack telling ESPN’s Stephen Smith:
“I was freestyling. That’s all. It was all done in fun. Nothing serious whatsoever. That is what MCs do. They freestyle when called upon. I’m totally cool with Kobe. No issue at all. And by the way, don’t forget, six albums, two platinum, two gold. Anybody who knows me knows I’m a funny freestyler. Check the NBA DVD when I was rapping about Vlade Divac during my first championship run. Please tell everybody don’t make something out of nothing.”
Last January, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio made the Phoenix Suns star a special deputy, and then promoted him to a ceremonious colonel earlier this month. But now he’s over it. Araio told the AP:
“I want his two badges back. Because if any one of my deputies did something like this, they’re fired. I don’t condone this type of racial conduct.”
