Shannon Elizabeth And Derek Hough Split

Actress Shannon Elizabeth and professional dancer Derek Hough have reportedly broken up.

The two met on Dancing With The Stars in the spring 0f 2008 when they were partnered up for the show.

They released matching statements, via Twitter.com, to announced their decision to break up after just over a year.

Hough’s tweet read:

“Hi everyone, we wanted you all to know directly from us, that Shannon & I have decided to end our relationship as boyfriend & girlfriend.”

Shannon’s tweet concluded:

“However, we love & care about each other very much & will remain friends & in each other’s lives.”

It cracks me up that so many celebs are using Twitter to announce things like this lately!
