Serena Williams Loses Her Cool At The 2009 U.S. Open
September 13, 2009
Serena Williams outburst last night at the 2009 U.S. Open tennis semi-finals after being called for a foot fault during a second serve caused her to lose vs Kim Clijsters.
In the video above you can see and pretty much figure out what Williams is saying to the line judge after being called for the fault.
Williams was trailing 15-30 and 5-6 in the second set of last night’s match. Kim Clijsters won the first set 6-4.
With the penalties, the foot fault made it 15-40 and the code violation brings a point penalty, which was match point.
According to Yahoo! Sports, Williams will be asked to explain her actions and comments. She will most likely have to pay a heavy fine.
The Associated Press says Williams screamed at the official:
“If I could, I would take this [bleep] ball and shove it down your [bleep] throat.”

A most unfortunate incident. However congratulations to Kim Clijsters for defeating the Williams sisters in the same tournament. A rare feat.
