Selena Gomez announced on her Facebook page over the weekend that, after three albums, Kiss & Tell, A Year Without Rain and When the Sun Goes Down, and a recent very successful South American tour, she and her band The Scene, drummer Gregory Garman, bass guitarist Joey Clement and keyboard player Dane Forrest, have decided to temporarily split.
The 19-year-old pop star writes:
“My band and I are going our separate ways for a while. This year is all about films and acting and I want my band to play music wherever with whoever. We will be back but, it will be a good while. I love them and I love you guys.”
Gomez has a full schedule ahead as she is set to star in Spring Breakers, with James Franco and Vanessa Hudgens, and she will be lending her voice to Adam Sandler’s animated vampire movie Hotel Transylvania.
