Specialists Entertainment has filed a lawsuit against P!nk, real name Alecia Moore, in NYC claiming she signed a deal with them, and Thunderstone Productions, to produce on her debut album back in 1999.
The two companies claim they had an agreement to split producers’ royalties 50-50. They developed 2 hit songs, “Can’t Take Me Home” and “Hiccup” for P!nk.
The album went on to sell 5 million copies, and according to the documents, helped launch P!nk’s career. SE says they never got a penny and are now suing P!nk for $36,213.31, the remainder of the unpaid royalties.
A rep for P!nk says this isn’t her problem, because: “Sony are responsible for paying the producers.”
