Paula Deen Expected To Confirm She Has Type 2 Diabetes

Paula Deen is expected to confirm she has Type 2 Diabetes next Tuesday during an interview on Today with Al Roker. She’s been trying to keep this diagnosis under wraps, but recently inked a multi million dollar deal to become the new face for a Novartis drug, which helps treat diabetes.

I think it’s a little sad that instead of dropping a few pounds and watching what she eats she’ll be the spokesperson for a drug that treats this nasty disease. Obesity has been linked to Type 2 diabetes and if she got on a diet plan she could instead be promoting one of those programs instead of a drug.

Insiders are saying she is changing her approach to cooking and is going to change her menu at her Savannah, GA restaurant in order to offer healthier meals. At least it’s a start, hopefully in the future we’ll hear she has her sugar under control and doesn’t need any drugs to help manage it.
