Patrick Swayze Cancer Has Reportedly Spread

Patrick Swayze, who was told he had pancreatic cancer this past January, has reportedly taken a turn for the worse and started saying goodbye to loved ones after learning his cancer has spread.
A source told National Enquirer magazine:
“Patrick recently got word that the cancer had spread to his liver and that is what his doctors said would begin the countdown to the end.
Patrick knew it was coming because he was suffering increased weakness.
“At times, he was so weak that he could barely walk without feeling faint. Sometimes he feels out of breath and has to sit down.”
Swayze, 56, told Lisa, his wife of 33 years, and his brother Donny that he doesn’t have long to live.
“Lisa phoned Donny in Los Angeles and told him he need to come to Chicago, where Patrick has been filming TV show The Beast. She was crying and scared Donny to death.
“Donny got the impression his brother was already on his deathbed because Lisa was saying Patrick wanted to say goodbye. She couldn’t stop crying.”
Swayze has been undergoing pioneering Cyberknife radiotherapy at California’s Stamford University Medical Centre, and had been making a steady recovery from the illness.
Swayze recently finished filming The Beast in Chicago, where he was putting in 12-hour days.
In October, his production team reported he had missed only a day and a half of work.
He told The New York Times:
“I’m still fine to work, I haven’t changed - oh, I have changed, what am I saying? It’s a battle zone I go through. Chemo, no matter how you cut it, is hell on wheels.”
UPDATE: Swayze released a statement to People saying:
“I’m very proud of the work I’ve done on my new series The Beast, and I am happy to be back home for the holidays. It’s a great feeling of accomplishment to say you’re gonna do something and do it,” says the actor, 56.
“The only thorn in my side being that many tabloids have been consistently reporting lies and false information about me and those close to me. And latest, they’re reporting that I’m on my last legs and saying goodbye to my tearful family!
“Pancreatic cancer is an aggressive disease and from the moment I was diagnosed, I knew I was in for the fight of my life. It’s a battle, and so far, I’ve been winning. I’m one of the lucky few that responds well to treatment.
“It’s upsetting that the shoddy and reckless reporting from these publications cast a negative shadow on the positive and good fight I’m fighting. For me, my family, and those close to me, it amounts to downright emotional cruelty. That makes me angry when hope is so precious.”
He concludes, “As always, I appreciate all the love and support people have sent and continue to send my way. I thank you.”

I will pray for Patrick and I am sure he will winn, while we all love him and he has given us so much Love with his great films and so much happiness. I remember, many years ago his “Dirty dance” first film I have seen with him and I felt so much love and inspiration.

I have been fighting breast cancer for the last 7 years. This is my 3rd time and this time it has spread to my bones. Through prayer, positive attitude, family and friends support, I have been able to put this cancer into remission once again. I believe that God has a plan for all of us and mine is not done here yet. For everyday he gives me with my husband, 16 year old son and 14 year old daughter, I am grateful. We are only here for a short while, but if you believe that Christ is our savior you will have peace with everything you are dealing with. We have eternal live with him.
I just read a book called, “Glimpses of Heaven”. written by Trudy Harris, R.N.( awesome book) also, “The Shack”, and “90 minutes in heaven”, written by Don Piper. Since I know that my time is limited, I have found that I am more interested in where I will going and what it might be like. Check it out, you’ve got a lot to lose. I’m only 53 and was diagnosed at 45 years of age. Life is precious.

Dear patrick my thoughts are with you it was only this week that i was told that my dear father,s pancreatic cancer had spread to his liver also. We as a family are going through an emotional roller coaster and are praying he does not suffer but i strongly belive you are going to a better place. God bless you and my amazing father.

He will live as long as God wants him to. No one knows when there time is up. I hope he keeps fighting. He has done a good job so far. Dear Patrick, i wish you all the strength and inspiration you need, divine or human.
Today I buried my lovely wife who suffered from the very same disease. I never read gossip columns so you can hardly call it coincidence that I read this at the very moment I feel dazed and alone surfing on the internet. After the doctors spread the horrible diagnosis to us my wife asked me and her best friend to join her in prayer. Whether it made her find her own strength or God helped us remains a mystery, what happened was that she found the power to fight her disease and to spread love and light to her teenage children, to me and all the ones close to us. It is irrelevant how long she lived from diagnosis to her last hour, but it is very relevant how she lived during her last stage. She brought out the best in herself and was able to spread this to her audience. First of all I really hope you, Patrick, find this power in yourself to give peace to your soul. Then I hope you can spread this message to your loved ones. If there is still enough power left I hope you will share this with your audience, which is ofcourse, far larger than ours.
In our quest for cure and survival a wise man said: “Cancer is a very serious disease, it may even kill your body, but you should not let it kill your soul.”
There is a hidden source for each one of us, its name does not matter, just drink from it and let the force be with you.

By the way I do know what this cancer does my father in law died of the same cancer 9 yrs ago and he did not live as long as Patrick has. So, if what ever reason GOD has let me live this long is great. Or maybe it is the fight in him to live his life to the fullest that makes him live this longwith the cancer. Yes we will lose him but no one knows how long. And yes at age 43 I do believed in GOD I also believe that there are things in this world that we can not explain how things work. So, If you have a problem with people that pray and believe in GOD that is your choice.

I was told my Pancreatic cancer was only at stage one and was discovered by accident during an examination in the emergency room 3 weeks ago. The only symptoms I have so far are extreme fatigue. This cancer plays big time games with your head and you have to be real careful not to get too carried away with it. Most people mean well when they talk to you but sometimes it’s extremely difficult to listen to thier alternative advice. Patrick is at stage four and now in the hospital with pneumonia. He’s fighting a tough battle and is a couragous man. All the very best to you Patrick. May God touch us as we go through this together with our wives, children and family.

My father was diagnosed with stomach cancer in March 2008 and I believe that Jesus has healed him ( he is in remission now). Please, do not play games or mock God. He is a wonderful creator and as bad is cancer is, sometimes God wants to shake us up and know this life isn’t all there is. He wants us to know his son Jesus so when we die we can go to heaven. On the flip side, the enemy (devil) is here is kill and destroy and he wants to send everyone to hell, if he can. My prayer for you is that you ask Jesus to come into your life–you will feel peace, joy and comfort knowing that if you were dying that heaven will be your final destination.
Patrick, I’m praying for your healing–but most of all, your salvation if you do not know Christ as your personal savior. God Bless..

Well…we all should feel badly for Joe too. Poor Joe..he may not believe in God…but..ain’t Carma grande…I feel badly for him!! He must have had a pretty horrible upbringing to be so angry. Sounds like he needs to get over a few things. To not believe in God is one thing (to each there own) but to lol and tell someone to die already is another. Carma..Joe needs to brace himself ‘cuz it’s like spitting into the wind…it always comes back and hits you in the face. Good luck to Joe too…he’s going to need it. Imagine how proud his parents must be of the fine person he’s become. I wonder if they had anything to do with his upbringing or maybe they threw him out like yesterdays trash and that’s what his issue is. Regardless, poor Joe needs some major counseling wouldn’t you say?

Partick, I have been a big fan of yours since the release of North and South, and since then you have made a big impression on my life and I know of many others too. You got me into dancing when I saw Dirty Dancing and I still do all thoughs moves to this day. I can only wish you may have a peaceful journey to God and Heaven, and hope you know that you will have no more pain andyou will be in a beautiful place with all the loved ones that has gone on before us. Go and dance in the skies and let the sun shine down on you.
Lisa, I know the pain and thought of Patrick is a hard one, but know his love for you is as strong and wonderful as all could dream of. Just know that his dancing feet will be dancing in the heavens and sending dancing rays of joy and happiness down to you and all that loves him.

My love is deep for my husband as we have been together, just the 2 of us for almost 30 years. Compare to this life ETERNITY is forever. My husband and I share the common bond of Christ as our Savior therefore a life in ETERNITY with Jesus and each other. He has promised in his word. It is a peace that passeth all understanding. My prayer and wish for you is that you know Jesus and the hope he gives for an etenity. He is a loving God. We all will face our time to depart from this life to PARADISE. It is a free gift that he offers as we realize that we have sinned against him–none of us can keep the 10 commmandments but Jesus came to make a way. It is nothing we do on this eaearth. We have to confess that we are a sinner, call upon the name of Jesus and accept him as our Lord and Savior. Dear Patrick,
I am very sorry that you’ve had to fight this ruthless enemy. I’ve had my own. Not the physical kind, but perhaps more emotional. My daughter and mother died together in a car accident when my little girl was only 11. Several years ago, my husband left me for another. These deaths have been monumental, needless to say. But I write today to ask you, whether you have months or decades yet to breathe earth’s air, are you ready to step into eternity? We all would like to think that God will just love us all and accept us all into His home so easily. Yet, God is a judge, too. Would a a good judge just let every injustice go?
So, I ask you? Do you think you’re a good person? I’m talking according to God’s standards- the Ten Commandments? Have you EVER told a lie? I have. Makes me a liar. Have you EVER taken ANYTHIN that wasn’t yours? I have. Makes me (us) a thief. Another of the Ten Commandments is dDo not commit adultery. Jesus said that if we’ve even looked at another to lust after them, we’ve committed adultery in our hearts. And God sees the heart. None of us, not one, could be good enough to get to God’s heaven on our own merit. God sees too much for that to ever happen. And if we think OUR God will just forgive us, well then, we’ve just broken another of the Commandments by making a God of our own liking. God is who He is, apart from what we think. He stands alone and is truth. There are not a kazillion Gods in existence to satisfy our sinful lives.
God has provided a way for us to be made worthy of His presence. He has taken our injustices and nailed them to a cross over 2K years ago in Jesus Christ. He became sin and died for us. That’s you, too. And me. Jesus took the punishment you (we) deserved. HE PAID THE PRICE FOR US!! If you confess and forsake sin and trust in Jesus (like you’d trust in a parachute), God’s heaven is wide open. If not, God WILL mete out justice and promises to send souls to the place reserved for them- hell. Patrick, I don’t want you to go there. God’s standards are very high, the Ten Commandments show it. We are ALL in need of His mercy. It comes through Jesus.
I write these words, not knowing if you will ever read them, and risking sounding like a complete fool, but I’d rather risk looking like a fool if I might help someone find eterna life by doing so. God bless you. My prayers are with you.

Dear Mrs. Swayze,
Who knows if you read these comments but in the off chance that you
do I wanted to express my sorry over the passing of your husband
Patrick. Nobody can know his heart like you do but even a complete
stranger like me can say that he was a hard working American and an
inspiration to others both in his life and in the dignity and strength
which he fought his untimely death. At some point we will all meet a
similar end, the only question is when. I hope that I can face my
end with the bravery that Patrick Swayze displayed when faced with
his mortality under such stressful conditions. May the Lord give
you strength to mourn Patrick but to also move past the mourning phase
and live the rest of the life you have been given.

I guess Joe has nothing more to say. Joe, you need to ask God to forgive you for all the mockery and the horrible things you said about believers.
Read the Bible, get in touch with God each day and then read the book of Revelations again and you wisee why the endtime is near.
