Patricia Marand has died of brain cancer

Actress Patricia Marand has died at the age of 74 after losing her battle with brain cancer.

The Broadway star passed away on Thursday (November 27, 2008) at her Manhattan home.

Marand is best-known for her role as Lois Lane in the hit 1966 Broadway musical It’s a Bird It’s a Plane It’s Superman, which earned her a Tony Award nomination.

She also appeared on Broadway in 1952 musical Wish You Were Here and was a
regular on 1960s US TV talk show series, The Merv Griffin Show

Marand is survived by her husband, Irving Salem.
