Obama’s Celebrate Easter With A New Dog

 

It’s amazing how many people are interested int he Obama’s and their new dog.  The internet has been filled with people looking to figure out what kind they’re getting, when, what’s their naming it, etc.

Well the day has finally arrived.   The president’s daughters Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7 are welcoming a 6-month-old Portuguese Water Dog named Bo to the White House.

According to The Washington Post, the girls chose the name because their cousins have a cat named Bo and because Mrs. Obama’s father was nicknamed Diddley, as in Bo Diddley.

Bo is a gift from Sen. Ted Kennedy, who owns three of the same type of dogs, which is known for high spirits and is said to be a good fit for kids with allergies (such as Malia).

Bo reportedly came from a kennel in Texas.
