Today is a big day for President Barack Obama.  He accepts the Nobel Peace Prize in an award ceremony at Oslo City Hall in Norway.

He has already accepted a diploma and medal just a few hours before he is set to receive the big honor.

Even though there are a lot of questions surrounding whether or not Obama deserves this award, the main one being why so soon…The Nobel Committee’s reason for awarding the peace prize to Obama is for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples and cited his push for nuclear disarmament.

This is only the third time in history a sitting president has received the prestigious award.
