Neil Patrick Harris Hosts SNL

Neil Patrick Harris hosted Saturday Night Live last night (Saturday January 10, 2009) with Taylor Swift as the musical guest.

Harris got his start in acting at 16 while starring in’Doogie Howser, M.D.’  The show ended in 1993, when he then took up stage acting.

He played the role of Mark Cohen in the L.A. production of RENT, and made his Broadway debut in ‘Proof.’

In 2006 he came out in an exclusive interview with People Magazine that he is gay saying:
“I am a very content gay man living my life to the fullest and feel most fortunate to be working with wonderful people in the business I love.”

He is currently starring in the hit comedy sitcom ‘How I Met Your Mother’ and recently played the title role in the web-exclusive comedy ‘Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along,’ which became the number one TV series for five weeks.
