MSU Getting New Logo In April
January 21, 2010

Michigan State has confirmed they will be introducing a new Spartans helmet logo in April.
Heather Swain, Assistant Vice President for University Relations, says the school will make an official announcement in April.
The new logo was originally posted on SpartanTailgate.com after someone spotted MSU’s trademark application on the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Web site.
In response Swain confirmed that she wrote the memo, but would not go into detail about it, including whether the change would entail a switch from the school’s color scheme of green and white.
Swain says:
“There will be a variety of different elements. I’m sure they’ll be released in April.
“It will be a comprehensive package for the athletic department.”
The logo redesign is “the result of a two-year collaboration between MSU Athletics and a team of top designers from Nike.”

No!! And I did not go to MSU. My wife is an alumnus class of 1980, and my daughter just graduated and they both agree. We need a Nike do-over or an Adidas up start.
