Miley Cyrus Tour Bus Accident Kills One Injures Nine

A tour bus transporting Miley Cyrus’ lighting crew for her show was involved in a deadly crash outside Richmond, Va., on Friday.

Cyrus, 16, was not on board, PEOPLE has confirmed, and, according to her Web site, she is scheduled to perform Sunday in Greensboro, N.C.

Miley, 16, was not on board her manager tells TMZ:

“It was one of our tour buses, but not Miley’s.  It was one of our buses that transported our lighting crew.”

The bus drifted off the road and overturned leaving one person, presumed to be the bus driver, dead and nine others with minor injuries.

An investigation is currently underway to determine exactly what happened.  Speed and weather weren’t considered factors.

The bus was one of four traveling together after the Disney stars two-show stint Wednesday and Thursday in Long Island, N.Y.  They were heading to Greensboro, N.C., where she is scheduled to perform Sunday.
