Mel Gibson’s Wife Files For Divorce

 

Mel Gibson’s wife Robyn Moore, 53, has filed for divorce after almost 30 years of marriage citing irreconcilable differences.

The couple released the following statement today:

“Throughout our marriage and separation we have always strived to maintain the privacy and integrity of our family and will continue to do so.”

Moore is reportedly seeking joint physical and legal custody over their minor child, Thomas, 9. She is also seeking spousal support and attorney’s fees, and is asking the court to deny her husband any spousal support.

Gibson and Moore met in the late 1970s after Gibson had filmed his breakthrough success, Mad Max. Moore at the time was a dental nurse.

The couple married on June 7, 1980, and have seven children together, Hannah, 28, twins Edward & Christian, 26, William, 24, Louis, 21, Milo, 19, and Thomas, 9.
