Los Angeles Angels Pitcher Nick Adenhart Killed In Car Accident

 

Just hours after pitching six shutout innings against the Oakland A’s, 22-year-old Los Angeles Angels rookie pitcher Nick Adenhart was killed in a hit-and-run car accident.

According to the police,  someone driving a minivan flew through a red light and hit the Mitsubishi that the young pitcher was riding in. Two others were killed in the crash, besides Nick.

The cops added that the person driving the van fled the scene, but was later caught and charged with felony hit-and-run.

The right-handed pitcher made his major league debut on May 1, 2008.
