Lions Get A New Logo
March 25, 2009

It appears the Detroit Lions logo, which debuted in 1960, got a makeover.
The first pic is reportedly the new logo compared to the old and then below it is a picture of a collectible toy truck that was available for purchase on Tuesday morning at nflshop.com which was later removed from the NFL Web site, although a truck bearing the old logo was for sale. New uniforms may be in the works as well.
At the NFL owners’ meetings on Tuesday, Lions spokesman Bill Keenist said:
“We understand and genuinely appreciate the incredible interest surrounding this issue from both the fans and the media.”
But the team would neither confirm nor deny the authenticity of the logo.
When shown a photo of the logo, Lions general manager Martin Mayhew said with a laugh:
“I have never seen that before. I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
He then added:
“My glasses are a little dirty, so I might not be able to see it.”
So what do we think of ‘Bubbles’ new look?

I really like it. I think it is about time. Who knows it hasworked for other teams. When they update their logo, it seems like they at least have a winning season for a change!!!!!!!!!!!

why dont we just join the CFL and get it over with. Haha. no seriously though this logo looks like they stole it from a NFL Europa team. What a joke? 0-32 for sure

The new logo is B.A.
Just look at what the Bucs new logo did for them.
It is time for the Lions to become a contender, and it starts this year. You heard it hear first, Detroit Lions 2010 record, 11-5. And yes they will make the playoffs.
The Lions are a new team, with a new look, new coach, and new attitude. Detroit will be a winning city from now on.
