Jack Abramoff sentenced to four years in prison

 

Jack Abramoff, a disgraced former US lobbyist at the heart of a Washington corruption scandal, has been sentenced to four years behind bars.

Abramoff, at times choking on his own words, told the judge he is a “broken man” and has “fallen into an abyss, your honor, and I don’t quite know how to get out.”
