Lindsay Lohan Does Ellen – Updated With Video

 

Lindsay Lohan is getting up close and personal on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today, Thursday, April 23, 2009, where she gets candid about her highly-publicized breakup with celebrity DJ Samantha Ronson.

This marks Lindsay’s first TV interview since the split and she says she was hit hard by the breakup, which she claims came out of nowhere.

Ellen says:

“I think that break-ups are hard when you’re a private person.”

Then Lindsay adds:

“Or when you don’t know you’re breaking up… really weird.  That whole night was just really tough and… it came out of nowhere…”

She coninued on saying she wasshocked by reports that the Ronson family, including Sam’s twin sister Charlotte, considered obtaining a restraining order against her after the breakup.

Lindsay says:

“I was like, ‘I don’t understand.’  It came out of nowhere. I’ve supported Charlotte and I’ve never done anything for people to assume I’m dangerous.”

Lindsay was sure to add:

“Samantha and I are friends. We’re talking.”

But she says now that she’s single (which I’m sure that won’t last long) she’s ready to focus on rebuilding her career:

“I feel like I want to get my career back in shape.  When people are together so much it gets really difficult and you forget who you are because you’re more concerned about being with the other person. I think it’s been really good for me. I thought it would be so much harder and it hasn’t been.”
