Lance Armstrong Injured During Race In Spain

 

Cycling champ Lance Armstrong, and seven-time winner of the Tour de France, has been hospitalized after falling during the first stage of the five-day Vuelta of Castilla and Leon Race in Spain on Monday.

The Associated Press is reporting he may have injured his right collarbone.

Armstrong and at least a dozen other riders fell from their bikes during the opening stage of the Vuelta a Castilla y Leon, Armstrong was then seen holding his right shoulder on the roadside.

Spokesman for Armstrong’s Team Astana, Philippe Maertens, said Armstrong had been taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance.
