Lana Del Rey was the musical guest on SNL over the weekend and according to Hollywood she bombed. Celebrities took to their Twitter pages in full force to let it be known they didn’t like her performances what so ever:
“Wow watching this ‘singer’ on SNL is like watching a 12 yearold in their bedroom when they’re pretending to sing and perform. #signofourtimes.” Juliette Lewis tweeted.
Perez Hilton also voiced his opinion “Just watched SNL. Not only was
@LanaDelRey vocally WAY off, but watching her utter lack of stage presence was cringe-worthy.#DontBuyTheHype”“Who…..is…..this wack-a-doodle chick performing on
#SNL..? Whaaaa?’ Eliza Dushku tweeted.
Ouch! Give the girl a brake, I heard she was super nervous and I would have been as well. She’s an artist who so far has only released music via the Internet and hasn’t signed with any record label, if given a chance I think she’s got a lot of talent. That being said, I was watching last night as well and was wondering how she got book on SNL.
Check out the videos of her performances here.

Give the girl a break. She has written some very thought provoking lyrics and her sound is way cool. Sort of like Dusty Springfield meets Hope Sandoval… She wasn’t any worse than most recording artists when they perform live. I liked her whacked out sorority girl on acid vibe… She’s beautiful too. There are several songs that are on her new album which are brilliant, “Video Games, “Born to Die”, “Mermaid Hotel” – my personal favorite. Come on, drink the juice, this girl is amazing.
