Kennedy Center Honors Ceremony Airs On CBS

The 32nd Annual Kennedy Center Honors Ceremony (which actually took place in Washington, D.C. on December 6) aired tonight, December 29, on CBS.

President Barack Obama and the First Lady Michelle Obama were there along with Vice President Joe Biden and Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

This year’s honorees were Bruce Springstreen, Mel Brooks, Dave Brubeck, Grace Bumbry and Robert DeNiro.

Meryl Streep, Martin Scorcese, Edward Norton, Sharon Stone and Ben Stiller all shared their admiration for actor Robert DeNiro.

Melissa Etheridge and Sting sang a powerful tribute to Bruce Springsteen with other appearances by Jack Black, Harry Connick, Jr. Aretha Franklin, Herbie Hancock, Jane Krakowski, John Mellencamp, Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland, Carl Reiner, Jon Stewart and Martin Short.
