Katie Holmes to play Jacqueline Kennedy

Katie Holmes is set to star in an upcoming mini series as one of the country’s most famous first ladies, Jacqueline Kennedy.

Holmes has signed on for the History Channel’s eight-hour mini series The Kennedys, set to premiere in 2010.

Also set to appear in the series, Greg Kinnear as President John F. Kennedy, British actor Tom Wilkinson as Joe Kennedy Sr. and Barry Pepper who will play Robert Kennedy.
