July 22, 2009
Katie Holmes chatted with So You Think You Can Dance host Cat Deeley about her special performance for the milestone 100th episode of the show that will take place on Thursday, July 23 on FOX.
Katie says:
“This is an homage to Judy Garland and I am very excited about it. I like to sing and dance so it is really fun.”
Katie also chats about how she has teamed up with SYTYCD co-creator Nigel Lythgoe, ‘Dancing with the Stars’ judge Carrie Ann Inaba and director and choreographer Adam Shankman to create the Dizzy Feet Foundation.
Besides her performance, Katie will introduce the public to the new foundation which helps talented underprivileged youth live their dream.
She says:
“It is to give scholarships to these young kids. I think it is important to experience music and dancing and singing and the arts and sports. This is the next generation. I think it is important to give them every opportunity to grow and discover what it is that they like and to have access to the best. “
