Kate Middleton’s wedding dress has been placed in the ball room of Buckingham Palace where banquets are held on a raised stage and is unprotected. Ticket sales for the summer tour of the Palace have already begun to sore, it’s expected at least 650,000 people will buy themselves a ticket just to see the dress on display.
Also on display with the dress are the shoes she wore, earrings, and a silk replica of the bouquet she carried on her wedding day. The veil she wore along with the diamond filled tiara are placed above the dress as well. Kate herself had a say in the design of the display and she was expected to visit it on Friday with the queen.
The dress was designed by Sarah Buxton, for Alexander McQueen, and was perfect for Kate and Prince William’s modest wedding. Thousands of knockoffs were made after the dress had been revealed, and it was a huge hit with the media and royal watchers everywhere.
