Kate Middleton covers the August issue of Marie Claire South Africa, except she really doesn’t. The mag took a huge chance by photo-shopping The Duchess of Cambridge’s head onto a model’s body for their latest cover. They call it a “hyper-real illustration” meant to be a “fan tribute” to the duchess.
Middleton is photoshopped onto the body of a model wearing a Clive Rundle ensemble for the cover. Editor Aspasia Karras says:
“Kate Middleton is, without a doubt, the world’s new style icon. We have honored her with a fan-art tribute, dressing her up in clothes by South African designers and placing her in all sorts of fun, everyday situations.”
