Jordin Sparks At The Super Bowl

 

Last years American Idol winner Jordin Sparks had the honor of singing the National Anthem at yesterdays Super Bowl.  She did a fantastic job.  Her voice is truly amazing (lip-syncing aside).  I couldn’t help but notice how nervous she was!  I was starting to get nervous for her, but she pulled it off like a pro! 

“When they approached me to sing at the Super Bowl, I was like, ‘Yeah I want to sing at the Super Bowl – are you crazy?’ I’m very, very, very happy,” she said, though she did admit there was one thing missing: “I have always wished that I could have played, and I can’t.”

Did you know her dad Phillippi Sparks played for the New York Giants in the past?  He retired from the team in 2001.
