John McCain On SNL
November 1, 2008

Just three days before the big election, Republican presidential candidate John McCain made a special guest appearance beside Tina Fey, who of course played his running mate Sarah Palin on Saturday November 1, 2008.
In the skit, he mentioned Democratic candidate Barack Obam’s multi-channel prime-time ad buy Wednesday, saying he’s a Republican without any money and can only afford QVC.
McCain’s wife Cindy even made an appearance helping to display McCain fine-gold jewelry, a reference to the McCain-Feingold bipartisan campaign reform act of 2002.
McCain advertised a set of knives to cut “tough pork” in Washington, while Fey, portraying Palin, advertised a set of “Joe” dolls commemorating Joe the Plumber, Joe Six Pack and her Democratic rival, Joe Biden.
Palin aka Fey said she wouldn’t be returning to Alaska after the election. “I’m either running in four years or I’m going to be a white Oprah,” she said.
He even made a quick stop for ‘Weekend Update’ where he said ‘Maverick’ a lot and joked about strategies one being the ‘grandpa role’ saying:
“Obama’s gonna have plenty of chances to be President, It’s my turn. Vote for me”
