Joaquin Phoenix Debuts Some Rap Songs In Vegas

Former actor and now wanna be rapper Joaquin Phoenix made his music debut Friday night where he performed three hip-hop tracks in front of a full house at nightclub LAVO in Las Vegas. He even gave the crowd a bit more for their money when he tripped and fell into the crowd as he attempted to step off the stage after his performance.
The audience was reportedly unenthused by his set, but Phoenix insists he is passionate about pursuing a hip-hop career saying:
“This is me saying this is who I am. This is my story. After all the years of reading scripts and reading lines, this is my chance to do something straight from the heart and put it out there.
“When I was young I liked punk rock music but then I discovered rap. I love the storytelling aspect of hip-hop.
“Are there people out there who think I’m a joke? I’m sure there will be. Are there people who think it’s going to suck? Probably, but I can’t worry about that.”
The performance was filmed by Phoenix’s brother-in-law Casey Affleck for a forthcoming documentary tracking the star’s new career in music.

This is just so sad and weird. He was kind of an interesting guy once. Now I just think he’s lame. Sad.

I’m a Joaquin Phoenix fan, I absolutely love him in movies and he did a great job singing in Walk the Line. I think he would be fine but something other then rapping.

He just needs to shave. He doesn’t even look like a rapper with that mess on his face. He is a fine man when clean-shaven…. love his movies.
