Jessica Simpson Speedfit Lawsuit

Jessica Simpson is back in the news.  This time it’s about a workout DVD she taped in 2005 in which she has been hit with a $10 million breach of contract lawsuit over the unreleased video.  (Video Below)

Jessica filmed the exercise instructional for fitness company SpeedFit, but reports are that she was a mess during the interview and even allegedly showed up to the studio “tipsy.”  Other reports are that Jessica wanted to give some credit to her high school buddy and her workout instructor Mike Alexander because he was the one who helped her achieve the amazing body she had when she did The Dukes of Hazzard, but Speedfit wouldn’t have it.

Her father/manager Joe Simpson and Jessica herself reportedly refused to sign off on the project, preventing the SpeedFit boss Alex Astilean from releasing the DVD.

An insider told Radaronline this week:

“Jessica was a mess during that shoot.

They asked her to come back and re-shoot, but she refused, and that’s why she’s facing a lawsuit now.”

The recorded voice in the video is reportedly David Levin,  Simpson’s  business manager, and in discussing the lawsuit, he says:

“Listen. I think you would be justified in calling her a bitch, in calling Joe an asshole…I think Joe will hire the most powerful lawyer and take that contract and shove it so far up your rectum that you’ll never have a Speedfit.”
