Lionsgate’s The Hunger Games took the top spot over the weekend bringing in roughly $150 million for the three day weekend opener. According to WSJ this is the third-highest opening weekend ever, behind “Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2″ and “The Dark Knight.
The Hunger Games also sets records for the highest non-sequel opening weekend ever and the highest March opening ever.
