Garth Brooks Coming Out Of Retirement For Vegas Shows
October 15, 2009

During a press conference at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville this morning, Garth Brooks, 47, announced that he is coming out of retirement.
He didn’t mention any specifics as there is a larger press conference taking place at 4 p.m. ET. today, but it has been widely reported that he will be performing an extended engagement at the Wynn Resort in Las Vegas.
During the 25 minute press conference Brooks said:
“We need to take back the music. We don’t realize how powerful we are. [Former Capitol Records Nashville chief] Jimmy Bowen told me that once, and he was absolutely right.
If the world goes silent for a day, we will realize how powerful we are. Athletics have got it right. Until we unionize, we have no power.”
His wife since 2005 Trisha Yearwood (pictured above) was present at the press conference in Nashville.
