Freddie Mac CFO David Kellerman Apparent Suicide

 

David Kellerman, the CFO (Chief Financial Officer) and Senior VP at Freddie Mac, was found dead early this morning at his home in Virginia from an apparent suicide.

WUSA TV in Washington D.C. reports that police officers responded to his home around 5:00 AM after being called by his wife.

Reports came this morning from the WSJ that the SEC had been questioning Freddie Mac execs on possible accounting violations.

Kellerman has been with Freddie Mac for about 16 years, but only the acting CFO since September.
